Encrypted connections, explained plainly
FlowMoney VPN is building its own WireGuard infrastructure. Here is exactly how a connection will work, what it protects, and what no VPN can honestly promise.

Four steps from your device to the world
Your device holds a key pair
The native FlowMoney VPN client generates a WireGuard key pair on your device. The private key never leaves it.
Your device is authorised
The client registers the public key with our control plane. Authorisation is granted server-side, tied to your account, device and subscription entitlement.
An encrypted tunnel is established
WireGuard builds a Noise-protocol tunnel using Curve25519 key agreement and ChaCha20-Poly1305 encryption, over UDP.
Traffic exits through our server
Your traffic leaves from a FlowMoney exit server in the location you chose. Sites you visit see that exit IP, not your home IP.
What a FlowMoney connection protects
- Hides your home IP address from sites and services you visit
- Encrypts traffic between your device and our exit server, on untrusted networks such as public Wi-Fi
- Lets you appear to originate from a country or region you select
- Keeps your connection isolated per account and per device
What it does not do
- It cannot hide you from services where you sign in with an account that identifies you
- It does not protect a device against malware, phishing or unsafe downloads
- It does not stop the websites you visit from collecting what you give them
- A postal code selection is not a promise about how a public IP address geolocates
- A website cannot create a system-wide VPN tunnel on your device — a native client is required
Native clients, one account
A VPN tunnel is created by an installed application, not by a browser page. Our website, customer dashboard and management APIs are delivered by the FlowMoney VPN platform; the encrypted tunnel is established by our native applications.
